As a professional athlete it’s very important to me to keep regular tabs on my blood markers. Sometimes you need to find out as quickly as possible the reason why you might be under performing in training and racing, and what you can do to solve it. Edge offer a very quick and convenient service and translates the results into numbers we can all understand all for an affordable price.
Olympian and World Champion are two titles Will Clarke can claim, alongside numerous Ironman podiums. His career began in 2002 and he has consistently made his mark in the triathlon world ever since, establishing himself as a talented long-distance athlete. His performance has seen him take sub-8 hour times on three separate occasions, including a career best 7hr45 at the 2018 Ironman North America Championships.
Will made his triathlon debut in 2002 as an elite junior racer and has been a well-known figure in higher ranks of the sport ever since.
In 2006 he took the Under-23 ITU world title, and was selected to compete for Team GB in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. 2012 saw a move to longer distances and he won a number of Ironman 70.3 medals including silver at St. Croix, Lanzarote, South Africa, San Juan, Barcelona and Calgary, plus gold at Ironman 70.3 UK and Lanzarote.
The distances were upped again to full Ironman in 2015, and Clarke has provided three sub-8 hour performances including a 7hr45 time at the 2018 Ironman North America Championships in Texas.
Clarke’s immediate race plans include the London Marathon plus a number of domestic and European events.
Will's Favourites
What is your pre-competition meal?
My breakfast is usually porridge and banana with a bottle of isotonic.
Favourite music for motivation?
I listen to all music but I love dance music, especially when I’m gearing up for big sessions.
What is your go-to treat?
I don’t limit myself really, I eat what I want most of the time but I also like to eat clean so then it doesn’t have to be a treat.
What Superhero would you be?
Spiderman. If I see one of my competitors get away from me I can throw a web over them.
